Twiga Lodge is a luxury lodge situated in the foothills of mount Meru. Named after the Swahili name for giraffe, which frequently visit us, you are sure to be immersed in the local sounds, smells and activities that distinguishes Tanzania from other countries. Arusha National Park is on our doorstep, giving you a fantastic opportunity to visit the park at your leisure as soon as you arrive. It is 4670ft (1430m) above sea level making it an ideal haven to allow you to acclimatise if a trek to Meru or Kili is your dream (both of which we can organise for you in advance).

Our staff will give you a warm welcome and after being met at the airport (just 35minutes away) you will be driven in one our luxury vehicles to the lodge.
Along the way, your senses will be stimulated with images of daily Tanzanian life.

On arrival at the lodge, you will be given a warm homely welcome and shown to you room, after a complimentary drink from our well stocked bar, taken on the large veranda, whereby you will enthrall in the sight of Mt Meru, perhaps for the first time, or have a G&T using our own harvested lemons from the garden.
